SW M&P pistol trigger reset

I just recently had an opportunity to rent a Smith & Wesson M&P at my local range.

Very nice pistol. Has wonderful ergonomics and balance and quite accurate.

One complaint I have is the trigger reset is so "spongy" or soft/subtle.

I would personally prefer if it were hard like that of a Glock.

Does anyone know if the trigger can be worked on to tighten up the reset ?

Clark's did my dad's duty pistols. Did all of them for their Marshal's Office. Might check on them.
