You're not giving us much of a choice here. There are other guns in that price range.
That having been said, I voted for the Sigma. It will almost certainly have a trigger that grinds a bit, but that can be lived with. I used to own a 24/7 pro 9mm, and its trigger had so much dead travel on take up that it was just as bad as the Sigma.
Also, the 24/7's tend to shoot very low, even when using the cursed Heinie sights properly , and even when compensating for the low shooting accuracy leaves a LOT to be desired. You would have a better chance in a self defense scenario if you clubbed the perp with the Taurus or threw it at him. And range use? Forget about it. My friends are still laughing about the safety of the targets when the 24/7 was in use. Don't believe the hype on the Taurus website, there's no way that the pistols in the videos shown there came off the regular assembly lines. Don't believe the American Rifleman hype, Taurus is a big advertiser in that magazine and we all know how that works.
Taurus repair and customer service may be the worst of any major manufacturer. Good luck getting them to make good on their highly vaunted warranty policy, and even if they do keep in mind that shipping a gun is not cheap.
The 24/7's ergonomics are incredible, which turns out to be a bad thing, because people end up buying them because they feel so good in the hand. I would never even consider buying another Taurus semiauto. Apparently sometimes Taurus does build a decent pistol, but it's not the norm, and odds are high that you will get a lemon. Their designs are very interesting, but their quality control is miserable.
