Syria And 2A

Syria is a perfect example for the Framer’s purpose of our 2nd Amendment - I do not understand why the 2A is not promoted more in this light - Assad is the tyrant example of a government gone rogue with it’s military - that the 2A was designed to protect against this potential on our soil.

Sadly, the main religion of the region (Islam) isn't tolerant of a freedom enjoying peoples anymore than communism. I don't see how our constitution and its' amendments could co-exist. Just my observation.

Some countries in that part of the world don't distinguish between church and state, hence the style of tyranny they practice.
No matter whether you're an evangelist, or athiest, and despite the usually liberal secularists who seem to disdain religion and try to repress it, we should all be thankful our form of government respects religious freedoms.

We don't do comparative religions. It isn't that Syria isn't awash with guns. Civil Wars are not fun.
