Well, sorta...

I don't have one of these so can't say anything about it one way or the other, but for those who might be looking for a budget rifle at an even lower price point, this might be worth considering:

http://www.cabelas.com/product/Thompson-Center-Compass-Bolt-Action-Rifle/2293102.uts

Currently, the price still shows $349.99, but it will be marked down to $299.99 on Thursday, the 28th. So out-the-door price is still 300 bucks, but add the $75 dollar mail-in rebate and it could be yours for $225.

Mine shoots incredibly well. This might be the best centerfire deal I have heard of in this day and age.

Just a note to guys looking to silence this rifle: The shoulder behind the threads is too small to mount a muzzle device that requires clocking with shims. The shims pass right over the shoulder. I could not use my Griffin muzzle brakes, I instead had to purchase a direct thread adapter. That said, after mounting up an old Pentax Lightseeker 3-9 in some cheap Leupold rings, I proceeded to drill 1.5" 5 shot groups using Freedom Munitions 150gr sp's and my Recce 7 silencer. Cheap gun, cheap ammo, cheap scope/rings and good accuracy? I'm ok with this. Now, if I ever get my rebate, it would be fantastic...o_O:scrutiny: Submitted my rebate July 26th, still no word.

That is what I don't like about T/C rebate. Submit online, it does not give you a rebate submission reference # that you can check status and the rebate website does not provide a way to check status. :(
I don't like bolt guns that can only feed thru removable magazine, I like top feed!
I bought mine from KYGunCO. They have it $273 free shipping

I can feed mine by dropping a round in, on top of the empty mag. I can single load it.

''I don't likes'' can be easily overcome with, ''but it's under $200.'' My ''I don't likes'' is a skinny barrel, but I may just have to get over it for once:)

Nice, I really do need to do the paperwork on of these days and get a suppressor.
