These may be FFL prices, but still, add a markup for your FFL, then subtract $150 when you get the rebate, and you've got a hell of a good rifle at an economy-rifle price - little over 1/2 retail. I'm tempted.

Now they just need to let the .30 T/C die a quick death and pretend like this whole thing ever happened. But the rifle itself, however...

That's their weekly email of specials. You should get on the mailing list.

Does anyone have any experience with the 30-06? Is it worth the $$? Is there something else near the price that's better?

CDNN is amazing. I love the email deals. Wal-Mart prices without the horrible customer service.

FFMedic

Actually those aren't even FFL prices - those are *everyone's* prices. So $429 plus $15 shipping plus my FFL's $10 FFL fee? Dang, even better than I thought.

CORONACH
I believe the rebate is on top of the price so it would make it a $400.00 dollar rifle which is a smoking deal I would think

Kenny

I believe the rebate is ON TOP of those prices, bringing the effective price down to around $450!!!

Oops, gunlover said the same thing.....

Bill Rights..... I like the "Classic" and the "Original" - the others, meh...

If the $150 is included in the price, that's "merely" a good deal. If it is on top of the listed price, that's an absolutely smoking deal.

Mike

CONFIRMED

$600-ish out the door, including delivery. Then you get the $150 rebate.

You're getting a TC Icon for $450 and change.

That's incredible.

Mike

I think I'll bite if they're not out.... wonder if the .30 T/C could be reamed to .308 and clean up the chamber - I doubt it. Probably run with .270 or .30-06 in the classic.

Yeah, what he asked^^^^?

P.s.

Who here owns a T/C iCON? Can you tell me about it?

Thanks again!

How would you rate these compared to a CZ 550 American? I'm looking to get a nice hunting rifle chambered in .30-06.

They're just a well-made rifle. T/C has a reputation for quality and attention to detail that you don't normally get at a $450 price point. IIRC, MSRP on these rifles is over $800. As to how they compare to a CZ, I can't really say. I've messed around with both, but not enough to really compare. I don't think you'd really go wrong with either one.

Mike

Is the Thompson ICON Field · 243 Win THO5522 a discontinued model? I don't see it listed on the Thompson web site.

Brion

These may be FFL prices

They ARE FFL PRICES-

The $150 rebate is on top of the retail price.... meaning, you mail in the copy of your sales slip from the FFL retailer and you get the rebate.

Now they just need to let the .30 T/C die a quick death and pretend like this whole thing ever happened.

Hey... I LIKE the 30T/C...a short 30-06... how cool is that?
Don't EVEN go there with the 308 remarks...we're splittin' hairs here...lol hehehe

...and as of 8/7/09, CDNN was out of most of them... we managed to get several but missed the 5540's and 5544's... boo hoo, was hoping to snag one for myself, but no fret... we MAY see them again at this, or similar prices.

They are very well made, very well finished, AND extremely feature-packed. Don't forget the certified sub-1MOA accuracy. Much as I like CZ 550s, the Icon is quite a bit more gun.

and as of 8/7/09, CDNN was out of most of them.

Oops, I shoulda done more orderin, less talkin.

However, the $150 rebate would still seem to apply to any Icon purchase through November, regardless of where purchased.
