Two guy's in my IHMSA club use BF's. They are older models, and one has a four ounce trigger (!). I believe the caliber is 32-20 (.308). Nice looking gun.
I've owned Contenders, a G2 and an Encore.
I actually like the Encore best for offhand shooting in .357 (9" custom barrel) and .44 Rem Mag (9" cut off T/C barrel). I use open sights on the .44 and a Trijicon Reflex II sight on the .357. With the extra weight of the Encore, combined with the new Pachmayr grip, recoil is pleasant even with the hottest .357 loads. In .44 I shoot mostly softball loads. Today I shot a 1", three shot group at 50 yards (benched) with Blazer .357/158 JHP.
I like my G-2 quite a bit too with it's .22WMR barrel and wood grips. I like the G2 over the original Contender for it's simplicity and ability to re-cock.
I don't think you'll be dissapointed with either the BF or the G2, although I did have to work on the G2's trigger a bit.
BF's can take up to six months to get.
