T/C Contender vs. G2 question

Did a search, didn't easily find what I was looking for...

Would the G2 Contender 209x50 muzzleloader barrel fit on a standard/classic Contender frame?

NO! I have the Contender, and when T/C came out with the G2 and the black powder barrel, they stated the bp barrel would not fit the Contender.

The reason TC gives is that the ML barrel does not seal good on the contender so that the burnt powder fouling will get into the frame and gum up the works.
