Dick's recently had a sale on the T/C Venture in .270W for about 325$ after rebate. They guarantee 1in. at 100 yds. with premium ammo. It did that. With my reloads, it grouped 1/2in @ 100 and 1in @ 200- yds. This is the only rifle I've ever owned that I did not have to modify i.e. float the barrel (it is already floated) and bed the action to get anywhere near these results. My only complaint is the plastic magazine, Not bad for an economical deer rifle.

I have heard some good things about this rifle but they are scarce around these parts. I have done some bolt handle threading on these and can say the bolt body is massive to say the least.

My TC dimension in 223 is one of the most accurate rifles I own (also a budget rifle). TC has decent customer support as well. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another TC.

How likely is the bolt handle to come off? I had a Remington 788 that the bolt handle came off and I don't want that to happen to this rifle. Is it hard to order parts from the company? I would like another magazine.

I own 2 T/C Venture rifles I have a .308 and my wife has a 7mm-08. Both of them are MOA accurate at 100 yards. I shoot 165gr Nosler Partitions in my .308 and I'm sure I could get better groups but it consistently shoots MOA. My wifes 7-08 shoots 140gr Remington Core-Locks into 3/4 inch at 100 yards. They are very accurate, light weight, and a great trigger. The only thing I don't particularly care for is the rounded bottom of the stock on the forened. However I am contemplating putting Boyds stocks on them after hunting season.
