This is THR. The High Road. Now, cutting to the chase here, lately I've seen a real tendency for certain people to "cut their cloth to fit their suit" nd not only on this forum, but others I attend. By throwing in the latest yellow-press headlines, which, of course, generally generate an internet tempest in a teacup. That is not what we are here for. My direct point is this: If you want to use the argument of a few mentally unstable or incompetent people to change the foundations of the Constitution, especially the Right to Free Speech or RKBA, take it over to the threads of Legal or Activism, and fight it out with as much mutual respect as you can muster.

rant over

One more time Isher:

I think you have a point to make, but darned if I can discern it from what you have said, either here or in PM. But I'm willing to give you another chance, because I have an idea it may be of importance.

Thread reopened. The podium is yours.

Isher, if I understand your post, you're making two points:

1. folks are posting in the wrong area of the forum, and
2. folks are using stupid articles to support stupid opinions.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I think he means that people have a tendancy to post up any little instance of anybody doing anything in the media which might be seen as antigun for the sole reason to create a reaction and set off the "usual suspects" ranting and raving and chest beating about the unfairness, about how much they dislike BATFE or the .gov, or whatever.

If that's the case, it's ironic because anti rights folks do the same thing anytime someone gets shot.

Larry,
If you find out what the OP was all about, and do decide to close this thread, can you please let us know what in the world his point was? I read it twice, and still don't understand what he was trying to get across.
As to the Tacoma thread, I assume he is talking about the Airsoft confiscation by Customs. There is a very interesting post near the end of that thread with a link to the guy who actually imported the Airsofts that were confiscated. He explains the situation pretty well, and unfortunately it does sound like an official overstepping his authority, or at least stretching it's scope.
