Tactical/HD Shotgun Thread! Lets see your boom boom sticks!

I must admit I am sitting here trying not to laugh at some of the shotguns literally covered with "tactical accessories". For me simple is better, in rifles, handguns, and shotguns. I keep two shotguns in the bedroom for HD

my Remington 1100, 26 inch Hastings Wad-lock barrel, Choate 10 round extension giving me 10+1, Speedfeed stock.

my HK Benelli 121M, extra barrel is set up with choke tubes and Trijicon reflex for three gun matches

Mine is not overly tactical. I added a Remington extension and shortened the butt an inch.

I am Safety Officering a friend shooting mine at an extra shotgun stage at our last match.

It required a pump gun and he didn't have one so we shared it.

Six steel knock down targets and two stationary White Flyers. Five in the gun four in the pocket. No side saddles or pouches.

It was just a fun stage after the regular match.

870 Riot +1, 3 million police cruisers cant be wrong!
Model 12 as tactical as it needs to be, no auxillary light. But if you hold the trigger back while you pump, you can keep thing pretty well lit up! samesame 97 trench!

My humble submission, an IAC Hawk 982. I prefer the "keep it simple" philosophy. In the future, I may install a side saddle or buttsock shell holder, but that is about it. Maybe a basic light as well. I like it as it is.

1897 trench gun bayonet question

I think the bayonet will be a Wilkinson Pattern 1917 Enfield, Brit Patern 14 will fit also, only dif. handle scales. Tee up, if I'm wrong.

geologist explain CAN gun laws

how is it that Canadians get to have the coolest weapons we cannot have down here in the USA? Is it an o.a.l. thing or an okay to import Norinco thing?

My go-to leadspreader for when a pistol just isn't enough.

Yes, I know my room's a mess. I'm working on it.

Only our short shotgun laws are better than the US. In Canada a shotgun can have any length of barrell as long as it is manufactured that way AND the overall length is greater than 26".

So a 12" sxs is legal as long as it is manufactured that way. If I took a 30" sxs and shortened the barrels to 12" I would be charged, convicted and go to prison,

Does this make sense to you guys as it makes NO sense to us Canadian gun owners?

Norincos are still legal for import into Canada. The Norinco clones of the 1911 pistol, M4 carbine and Remington 870 have greatly improved their quality over the past few years. The controversy over buying firearms from China rages on in Canada with many gun owners objecting to them.

My Rem 870 Police Magnum with an 18.5" barrel and the +2 mag extension...I removed the Speedfeed Stock in favor of the Hogue Overmolded one. I am a Southpaw and the shell cavern on the right side of the stock would impact my left cheek...The Hogue is much nicer. I added a Mesa Tactical 4 shell side saddle as well as an XS Big Dot tritium front site. A CDM Gear flashlight mount holds a Streamlight TLR-1 light up front.

I finally got around to restoring an old 870 express I had sitting around. This gun had about 50% of the original finish left, the other 50% was a classic layer of rust brought on by years of hard waterfowling work.

Duracoat
Speedfeed IV-S stock
Hogue forend
Choate +3 extension
Factory smooth bore/rifled sight barrel
Factory 28" vent rib barrel
GG & G single point sling adapter
Midway USA single point sling

I still need to pick up a side saddle and the sights for the 20" barrel.

Hence my username

Rem 870 12g ~ I keep it empty so when I cycle it you know I'm armed back here. Surefire forend, +3 mag tube, OD Green. No sights, #2 most shot weapon. 00 buckshot loaded in it, 3 more on the side, 1x T-shot, 2x Slug.

Springfield XD 9mm 4" OD Green. 32rd mag with 1 in the pipe. Insight M3 light, Uncle Mikes Glock grip. Had to mod the grip so it wouldnt hold the safety. My #1 most shot weapon.

In a HD event my girl is to cover on the far side of the bed with my pistol and call the cops. I take cover by the door looking down the hallway. (Stay put, in the dark!) IF I go down, she's to unload it on anyone coming thru the door. I made her not only shoot both guns, but take them apart and clean them also.

These were my first two guns, and are still my favorites! Hence, my screen name. I have 8 now, BTW.

I should be ashamed for posting these, but I took them for insurance purposes not for the artistic ones. I'll try something 'artsy' when the weather cools off.

That's not rust (and yes, I triple-checked), it's a result of crappy cfl lighting.
