Take down rifle that would fit in a suitcase

The Modern Sporting Take Down Rifle(MSTDR) is easier than a custom Bond gun.

Anyone can break an AR down like that. I want both a bolt action and something different. I'm gonna work on the rifle I already have and that's a Savage.

Let us know what you figure out. IIRC, you can take the barrel off them and put it back on with a wrench if you have headspace gauges.

I have thought about this too and think if I were to try it, it would be either an old 99 Savage takedown or a C96 Mauser.

Sauer has a takedown version of their 202. Not real sure of the prices.. (although Im sure not as cheap as your wanting)

most german brand hunting rifles have some form of take down in their lineup: blaser, krieghoff, sauer, ...
