I'm going to South Carolina for a few day and wanted to take my revolver to keep in the hotel room with me. I have a carry permit for Pennsylvania which is worthless in South Carolina so I know I have to keep the revolver and ammo in separate locked cases, traveling with the revolver in the cab and the ammo in the trunk. Is there anything else I should know when transporting a firearm?

You can carry it loaded in your glove box, center console, or trunk. No permit required.

You can carry it concealed from your vehicle to a hotel room of which you have paid the accomodations tax on.
