Talk me out of a CZ P-07. Really like it, but don't need it.

I love mine had it since Nov with 500 some odd rounds through it and no problems. One of these days I am going to break down and buy the night sights for it.

Went back on Saturday. Couldn't resist. Put it in layaway. The Omega trigger is VERY nice!

Yay! I handled another one recently and really like it, but still prefer my CZ PCR a little bit more. That doesn't mean I won't pick one up though. :D

Thanks guys. I just couldn't pass up the pistol. I really like the way it looks [and that includes the Canadian compliant barrel sticking out]. Different than most slide designs, which intrigues me. Love that it has night sights already. The safety isn't the best in the world, but I doubt I will have it on safety much. Most of it's life will just be "a fun gun", and if I'm out with family shooting it, I will use the safety, . . . but because of how relatively hard it is to swipe it off, it won't see much use as a defensive gun. If I DO, I will manually drop the hammer and have a DA first trigger pull.

tuj, . . . would that lighter hammer spring be for a better DA pull? The SA already feels light.

That's the path generally followed by folks modifying the 75B-based guns, but the P-07 (and similar, larger P-09) are slightly different internally, and I don't know whether spring changes are (1) available from Wolff, or (2) will have the same effect. If they use the same springs, it'll probably do the job. Others here may know if THAT part of the guns is the same as the older models.

David at CajunGunWorks offers a 13# hammer spring for the P07 that drops the DA pull to about 8.5lbs. I've had 1 light strike in about 2000 rounds and that was with some cheap Blazer Al cased ammo. David was working up a hammer/sear kit for the P07 but said there wasn't enough interest to justify it.

That was about as successful as dropping by a bar asking for people to talk someone out of a shot of tequila

Well, if there had been issues with the gun, . . . there was more probability of finding it out with this thread. I'm happy with how this has all gone. I really was on the fence, but feel good about putting it in layaway.

There were a few issues with the first batch but those guns are long-gone from stores by now. The P07 is a great gun in 9mm, I think you'll enjoy it quite a bit.

As for the safety, when I had mine I noticed it loosened up a little bit after I put some rounds through it. It was always harder than a 1911 safety but it worked well.

Thanks for the insight. I'm looking forward to when I pay the layaway off and take it to the range. :)

I find the safety on mine to be so lose that I wouldn't trust it to stay on safe.
Send it back to CZ-USA and they will fix it under warranty, with no charge to you. They have great CS.

I'd carry this gun DA/SA with safety off anyway, but it should work both ways, as designed.

It is an angular design. It wouldn't look right with a rounded trigger. Regardless, . . . . this ain't a beauty contest, son!

get it man, you only live once...dont get get a wife-thats very bad for your shooting career ive found of late. i was even accused of being "obsessed"!

Potatohead, . . . I had a wife who was the same. She ended it [for reasons not important here], . . . and a later girlfriend [after hearing a report from 20/20 about "how easy it was for people to buy guns under the table at gunshows], knowing I had guns, wanted me to "take them down to the police department so they could cut them up".

I'm single today. Any future relationships will be better decided upon.

Anyway, after looking at a few places online [and youtube], as well as here, . . . I did put one in layaway at my local gunshop.

Man, I was way off!! The CZ100 is the ugly one!!:D
I like the steel frames the best, but any CZ, excluding the CZ100, will do!
