Hello,
I am debating whether or not to buy these three handguns
1. blued Ruger gp 100 in 357 mag
2. Colt official police 38 special serial number is 9151xx which I believe puts in 1971
3. Stainless Ruger Mk.2 with I believe a ten inch barrel

All this for 1000 dollars
This seems to me like just a decent deal, or am I missing something.

Three thoughts:
Condition, Condition, Condition.

If all are 95% or better, then great deal.

Kinda funny that I own those same three handguns. Did I forget to lock the safe

I will never talk anyone out of a handgun purchase...I have a hard enough time stopping myself at times :).

I agree on condition; if they're in great shape, do it. If not, talk it down until it's right.

Buy them all.

Some of the most fun I have had with a firearm was shooting a Ruger Mark II 10 Inch Bull Barrel Stainless .22LR at a discarded washing machine...from 100 yards away.

Pop.....tink. Pop.....tink.

Yes, we did haul off and dispose of the shot up washing machine properly.

Just my .02,
LeonCarr

pretty sure when I saw them, the ss ruger 10 inch were going for $500-700 alone. seems like a fine deal depending on the shape

Around here, 1k would get you the Colt and the Ruger, but at the prices around here, the Mk II would be basically a freebie...so as long as they are in good condition, that's a great deal for around here.

Ruger GP100 = $450 used in good condition here,
Colt would be a $400-$500 gun around here,
MkII would be a $350-$400 gun around here.

As everyone as has said - condition is the $64 question.

If they're all decent, then yeah, it's a good deal. A quick perusal of GunBroker indicates that the Ruger MKII 10" seems to command somewhat of a premium to the right person. Might be a bit of a chore to find an interested party, but it would probably be worth it in the end.

I agree. Unless you wanted to go through the hassle of selling all 3 separately for (modest) profit, I wouldn't jump on it unless I either wanted all three or wanted 2 really badly.

He still has the two revolvers, but the sold the one I wanted, the Mk.II. Dont want the 38 or 357, even if I could make a profit. Thanks for all the replies.
