Talk me out of buying a sigma from CDNN.

CDNN has new enhanced sigmas for $250, I know the reputation but these are enhanced and they are only 250!!!! Can I go wrong with the 9 or the 40..... Has anyone who has actually owned an enhanced model comment.

For a few bucks more you could get a Steyr M9/M40 which has way more class and far better ergonomics.

What does enhanced mean? If you've got $250 to burn go ahead and get it. Sigmas are like the lottery, there are some winners but most are losers.

And, like the lottery, the odds are against you on the Sigma. However, it's perfectly possible to pick up a sweet S&W model 19 or 66 for that kind of money.

I have seen where people want to buy handguns from CDNN. Is that the CDNN Investments web site. I can't find on their site anywhere that mentions that they sell firearms. Do I have the wrong site and could someone post the site that they are buying from. Thanks.

I had a Sigma that was the enhanced version.

It was a great hi cap 9mm.

The trigger is heavy and it does suck.

But other that the trigger the gun was utterly reliable and a great hi cap for the money.

You can probably sell it for around 200 to 250,

The earlier versions are where all of the problems were. Don't listen to the ranting about them in general. If you can deal with the trigger, go for it.

I see them in training and they are never reliable.

I have had brand new T&E guns that would not fire five out of 50.

and the Smegmas used in an officer involved shooting.
the S&W fired one shot then dumped it's entire magazine
contents on the ground.

TN Hiway Patrol also had them. They now have Glocks.


For a DAO Polymer pistol look at the very light, but ultra-reliable
CZ100 for $300.00

Sigma VS KelTec P11

I purchased a new KelTec P11 (9mm) for $250.00. So far I have fired over 500 rounds thru it without a bobble of any sort. From 5 - 7 yards it is very accurate. It is small, light, and is backed by a lifetime warrenty from the company with the best reputation for customer service I've ever seen. Also, it's made in America.......... I like my KelTec so much I intend to purchase a smaller P32 when I can accumulate enough " play money"to afford one. If it functions perfectly, shoots where you point it, is inexpensive to purchase and has a lifetime warrenty why in the world would you want to take a chance on a SIGMA?

You might be ok if you get one of the newer models with the checkered grip. I've heard alot of complaints about the older ones (where checkering is on the front and backstrap areas only). A crude way to discriminate between generations, but it's the only way I have. Now for the admonishment: You really could do better for the price. The gun will come with a lifetime warranty and, if it does not live up to your expectations, I hope you will be persistant in taking advantage of it. Expect a relatively poor trigger pull, although it is better than the CZ100 pull. A bad trigger you can adapt to. As already mentioned, you could go with the Steyr M-series guns.

Its $265 + shipping. They were made for the Euro market so they have a fixed rear sight instead of the adjustable snagger that comes on the US import models. They only come with 1 mag, but this is a very good price.

The triggers on the CZ100s are a bit to get used to, but the CZ Forum guys have many things you can do yourself to smooth it out.

All i know is i wouldnt buy one in the 40 my cousins 9mm shoots good but jams a lot... the 40 i shot uncles shot great not probs no jams ...but it beat ya to death.

I actually think recoild was worse than a 357 mag and maybe a 44 mag...the 40 i shot in a sig recoiled nothing like this

I own more S&W autos than all of my other guns combined. I use to moderate the S&W Auto forum. With the exception of SmithNut and maybe a handful of others, you won't find a more loyal S&W auto fan than me.
