I found a like new Beretta 92 stainless at a local shop for $430. I mainly shoot 9mm Glocks, 1911s, Ruger SAs, and old S&W DA revolvers. I have carry guns, fun guns, etc., but for some reason I want this 92. Tell me why I don't want it; need has nothing to do with my gun purchases anymore.

you do want it if it doesnt have any black parts but the grips and the rear sight
i have an older inox like it and i spent 575 for it either way new or old its a great price and berettas are quite accurate

The trigger, decocker, etc. are blued parts. What difference does this make?

you want it because they are not made anymore
accurate
good resale price
very easy to find mags
parts are pretty cheap if you ever need anything
you can buy a scope mount if you wanna do competition shooting
very reliable
open slide design-- ive had 1 jam out of a few thousand due to crappy ammo

I haven't been keeping up on Berettas, did they quit making it in stainless? If so, I might have to drop by the shop after work.

thats why i jumped on mine for the 575 and man im glad i did
also beretta is stopping production of the plain ones the stainless is been out for a while now..... beretta is trying to turn their customers toward the new 90-two so thats why..... i would buy one if they made it stainless :D

I'd save $80-$100 and buy the Taurus PT92 stainless instead. Basically, it's the same gun as the Beretta. You should be able to pick one up for $330-$370. I have had my PT92 for 8 years and not one single problem. I shoot mine just about every 2 weeks.
However, I can't think of any other reason not to get it.

but how much are you gonna get if u try to sell it? 150? and besides the beretta is alot more accurate and ive heard taurus' customer service sucks.... beretta has been there for me when they only gave me one mag
taurus=cheap and just like a hi point :D i dont trust them and their mim parts either go with the beretta it will be a better choice

PT92s have MIM parts? If so, I didn't know this. I always thought the shooter provided the accuracy in most cases.
You've "heard" that Taurus CS sucks but don't have first hand experience? Typical Taurus hater :)
I don't buy guns to re-sell them so resale doesn't matter to me.
I think the only thing Beretta has on the Taurus is a smoother trigger, from everything I have read, other than that Taurus improved on the design.

almost every taurus gun today has mim.... i watched a slide stop on my buddies snap and he only put 500-600 through it i dont remember if he sent it in or not

They are nice guns but really large for a 9mm. I think a Stainless version would be heavy unless the frame is alloy. I think that's a nice piece for the price though. Great gun overall.

Taurus are fine firearms. I would take one in a heartbeat over a Smith and Wesson. I've owned and fired hundredes of rounds out of both. I also own a Taurus 92. I paid $200 for it. It's a worn out police trade in and still shoots as good or better than the newer military 92's I work with.

uhh buddy all beretta frames are aluminum unless it says steel 1 on the slide also its the same size as a taurus but beretta is just oohh soo much better

This one has an aluminum frame, and I'm going to go get it after work if its still there.

Buy it now. If you don't like it you can re-sell it here at the forum for alot more than you gave for it.

They are great gun's you know you want it. Do not fight the feel. Nature vs. Nurture. Nature alway's win's.
