Anyone use the Talley one piece rings in the extended format? I am trying to mount a shorter scope on my Sako A7 (long action) and am wondering how much extra clearance the extended ring will afford me.
The scope by the way is a Leupold AR 4-12x40, not really a match for a long action, but I got a really good deal on it and like the mill turrets. I am really close (withing 1/8") to having enough clearance with the standard Talley one piece I currently have on the rifle.
