Has anyone installed talon grips to their handgun? I'm not a huge advocate for how they look, but I feel like they would be a bit more comfortable than the factory grip texture on my XDs.

I have the granulate type on my Gen 4 Glocks. I have had to replace one set, but that one is my daily carry. I like them, and will continue to use them.

I have installed tje rubber ones on a S&W Shield and a CZ P-07. I really like them. Will buy again if I need them.

I have rubber ones on 3 of my glocks. They blend in with the grip, do not add extensive width, very comfortable and give excellent purchase when shooting.

I have them on my XDS and highly recommend them. That was the one thing I didn't like about the XDS. The texture of the stock grips is too harsh for my taste. I also have them on two Glocks and my Shield. I have never liked any type of sleeve or tape until I found these.

I have used Talon grips for a while now, and I'm delighted with their fit and quality. I started off with their granulated finish, but found that CC in the hot Summer weather under a tee shirt could get uncomfortable. I now use the rubber finish on my CC pistols, and I think that is the way to go in hot climates. It's a great product for a minimal cost, and that's unusual!

Sold!!

Just ordered some. It's hard to not at least give them a try for under $20 for the grip and pinky extension shipped to the house. i ordered the rubber texture

I have the sandpaper surface on my xdm 5.25 and I love it. The gun doesn't move and I find myself not gripping the gun as hard.

On a CZ75 I have the rubber surface and it's not as grippy.

It's the best addition to a gen4 glock if your carrying IWB. The new rough texture on the gen4 glocks is hard on skin and shirts.

I just added a pair of the rubber ones yesterday to a G19. I read a few reports that the granulated grips were a bit too much if carried against clothing or skin. My initial first impressions with handling and dry fire are great so far, and we'll see how they do at a class I have coming up.

When you take these off, do they come off clean? Is there a lot of residue left on the gun, and if so, is it difficult to remove?

^^ From my research, coming off clean is how it goes. I was divided on doing a stipple job or trying Talons, and opted for the grips after finding out I could simply remove them if I didn't like them.

Had the rubberized model on the XDs when I owned it, and I think it finished the pistol's grip off nicely. If I were to get another pistol with an aggressive grip, or needed more grip for smooth panels, Talon would be my first choice. Very good product that simply works.

I installed on my Springfield XDs 9mm. I wasn't sure either on the Talon grips. the grips are pretty aggressive on the XDs.

I did not do any trimming whatsoever with the grips and they lined up perfectly for me, maybe a tick off but looks good enough for me.

I like them. follow the instructions so they don't start peeling. I carry off duty and haven't had any troubles. in a holster, my pocket and map pocket in car. Get's bounced around a lot.

Have fun.

I hadn't tried Talon grips but saw them in all hickok videos so it was worth giving a try. I had the chance to get a set of Walther PPQ grips. They are just slightly off fit on my P99 but it gave me a chance to try them out. If they last longer than the last grip tape brand I used I will order some P99 specific grips.

I have these on most of my handguns. I just removed a couple from guns that I was selling and they left a slightly tacky feel on the grip. It wore off easily after a wipe down and handling the gun a few times. The grips had been on for well over a year. Removing was easy using a hair dryer.

I have the rubber texture Talon grips on multiple Glocks (all Gen3 so far) and like them. I have a pair of the granulated to try as well. They are holding up a little better than I expected even.

I like the Talon grips as well, but I really prefer the TruGrip. It's like the talon sandpaper but a bit finer grain texture and more flat black than grayish. You get three for $29 I think which could be good or bad depend on your needs. Downside is you order, then wait and wait and wait... :(

The rubber talon I'm kinda ho hum on. Not really convinced it improved traction that much.

I have Talons on my Glocks, AR and a small strip of the sandpaper style on the front strap of my 642-1. I also have them on an SR9c. The Ruger's grip fit my hand like a fish before installing the Talons.

I used to use them until I discovered Tractiongrips. They're far less costly and seem to adhere better. (at least in my experience)

I looked them up. I'm sure they are just as good a product, but in my opinion they were no where near as visually appealing on the xds. They didnt go over the backstrap either. They did cost about $7 less, but the fact that their wrap didnt cover the backstrap isnt for me. On my XDs .45 thats the only part that does kind of chew my hand up at extended range sessions.
