I do not know about Tapco, never dealt with them, but the last AR magazines I purchased were from Bravo Company, and they were high quality.

Price was nice too.

:)

Brownells has come out with their own new AR magazine in 20- and 30-round flavors. They back them 1000%. I like to buy GI contract mags and put Magpul followers in them. I have no use for mags that do not have a "closed" rear face around the shells. The aluminum mags have this closed face; most of the steel aftermarket ones do not. They tend to jam to the point that you'd want to kick your cat when you get home.

I'm on the Tapco mailing list. They recently sent me a ad for five D&H mags for $50. That's a good price for good mags.

The other place to go is www.44mag.com. They have the best prices I've seen on the web.

I have some 20 and 30 round Brownell's mags, along with the SA80 steel and a bunch of USGI surplus 30 rounders. The Brownell's are great. Never any problems with any of them. I have never had a jamming problem with any of my rifles/magazine combinations.
