Tare weight for empty powder containers

Greetings, all. I came across some older powder from a trusted source. They are one partial 4 lb can, and two partial 1 lb cans. Powder looks and smells good. I'd like to weigh them to see how much is left in each. Does anyone have a tare weight on these cans when empty? THANKS for any help.

Is it feasible to pour it into another container to then weigh that actual one? Should be much more accurate that way. The pound ones at least should be doable.

Those 1lb containers weigh about 0.2lbs. empty.

Thanks for the suggestion, Ohen. I could certainly do that. I was just hoping someone had an empty container matching each of mine that they could weigh, or already have weighed. Any help along those lines would be appreciated.

Go to QT and get a plastic drink cup and use it

I assume you are really intetested in the powder, not the container.....

If you use plastic as a temporary storage while you weigh, wipe down with ISO alcohol. Prevents static.

Okay, I emptied and weighed the Unique container. Empty weight (Tare weight) was 2.6 oz. Just in case that is useful info for others.
