I don’t have much experience with dots other than an UltraDot, but from my reading, it seems the UltraDot is the way to go for target work: Possibly other dots are too big - big and easily visible for action shooting - but because of the size of the dot, also don’t offer a very precise aim point.
I never shot bullseye, but my impression is that you’ll find UltraDots on their guns.
Edit: Here’s a recent post of mine on RFC. IIRC, the UltraDot’s dot fits nicely inside the 10-ring of these targets. It’d be tough to shoot 10s with a big dot that covers the bull out to the 8-ring.
