Taurus 24/7 Pro .45 Nose-dive FTF issue

I have read a LOT online about how the Taurus 24/7 Pro 45's are suffering from a problem with frequent nose-down feed problems.

Does this problem plague other calibers in the 24/7 Pro family?

First time I've heard of it. My PT-145 Millennium Pro functions flawlessly.

It's not the millenniums that have the problem , but the 24/7 Pro...

I don't know what to think - I realize that the vast majority of bad press for a product is generally caused by only a few people who have issues with it, but this was a little concerning!

That's actually what I had read! No, if it's a small bunch of people making all the noise, and the vast majority of buyers had no problem, then I'll be happy.. But at this point it seems that either the happy buyers are being quite, or not too many exist!

I'll just say this...

I was debating either an XD or 24/7 .45.

The 24/7 fits my hand and points much better for me, it also costs less and I won't use the "gear" that comes with the XD so that doesn't turn me on. I would rather get the 24/7.

But I think I'll wait a while to see if Taurus fixes the problem(s) and as new ones are being bought the reliability seems to improve. I'm in no big hurry. I'd rather get what I want instead of settling for what I think would be second best for me and be sorry later.

I own a 24/7 pro .45

I had the problem described a few times while firing the weapon. I took it to my local shop and they looked at it and we decided it was the ammo I was ussing. When it jammed I was ussing cheap ammo bought at the range. I have since only ussed Lawman 230 grain and have not had a single problem.

If the problem ever pops up again I am not overly concerned. I have had to send the gun in for a repair to Taurus and they honor their lifetime warrenty with out question.

As long as you stay away from cheap stuff, anything 186 grain, you should be fine.

It is a great weapon.

i had the same pistol im one of the people on the website listed, i sent it to taurus 3 times each time didnt work.

The underlying question still stands - does the problem exist in 9mm or 40cal?
