First time poster here ... lots of great stuff for a new guy to absorb in the firearms world. So here is the problem with the Taurus .. no pattern at all to the FTF on this thing. 2 mags and WWB and Rem FMJ's about 400 down range so far and about 2 dozen FTF's ... unchambered about a dozen rounds after the first click (FTF) and no strike on the primer. This is all in SA mode I should add. A second "full" pull (DA) always fired the FTF round. I've cleaned all the factory gunk and debris from the firing pin assembly (dis-assembled) and lots of crap came out .. used CRC polymer safe cleaner. Drop of oil in striker bore and sparingly oiled slide and sear ... worked it and felt and sounded much better. NO cracked pin cap or broken springs ... my last 100 rounds and at least a dozen FTF with only 1 mag of flawless rounds (17) ... I'm seeing a lot of ..."these guns are hit or miss" ... Also Taurus's CS seems very lacking. Really don't want to send it off to them if I can help it. Just want to see if there is a guru out there with a fix to this FTF problem. I like it and it's very accurate when I take my time. HELP guys !!
