Anyone run a decent amount of heavy stuff thru a 605 poly? Kinda considering one for smaller hiking gun when the 329pd is too big.

Its not gonna be 5000 rounds, but enough to know where it hits point of aim etc. I notice that Buffalo Bore says steel only for their stuff at least and I'm wondering.

Thanks

I have shot my dad’s with my 158 grain reloads. Never anything bigger. It is a decent gun but the front sight fiber optic fell out. It does handle recoil well compared to a j frame.

Like all Taurus stuff, if something breaks, you have to send it in for repair. They do not send parts. I would look at an LCR .357 for that reason alone. If the 3” .357 LCR wasn’t so pricey, I think it’d be a great woods gun.

I’d ask this question over at Taurusarmed

My wrist hurts just thinking about it.

Please be careful with powerful cartridges in a light gun.

A recommendation
Please ask yourself the following

In a civilian self defense situation that YOU WILL FACE
……… what is your accuracy with your EDC round-for first shot-?
……….what is your accuracy with your EDC round-for second, third and further shots-?

I was taught
Accuracy 1st
Then penetration 2nd
Capacity 3rd

Also my personal experience - enjoy the process -I got all wrapped up in the process and my brother in law
A long time gun enthusiasts gave me great advice “Enjoy the process and just carry what you preform best with and will practice with.”

Enjoy-!!!

I'm sure it won't be the most fun ever but I've fired full power stuff from 340pd and while it wouldn't be what I would do all the time it was doable.

Also I've fired 400gr stuff thru the 329pd, not pleasant but doable.

I'm assuming this will be less recoil than that
