If you want to shoot DA, as with practice for your .357 or something, all the .22 revolvers from Taurus are pretty heavy, as tend to be most rimfire DAs. The M17 Smith I recall being nice, though. I have a little Rossi kit gun and as I don't shoot it often DA, I don't care about DA. It's mainly a field gun. The SA, as with the Taurus 94s I've shot, is great and the gun is very accurate. Makes a great field pack along for rabbit, squirrel targets of opportunity. Mine is THAT accurate, at or under 2" at 25 yards. The 94s will shoot that good, too, on the average.
Sorta depends on what you want the gun for, I guess, as to whether you care about the DA trigger or not. Lightening the pull weight is not an option as it will produce misfires. It is what it is. For practice with my .38s and .357s, I use a 148 grain WC from a Lee mold over 2.7 grains of Bullseye, very economical as lead is free, and I get to practice with the gun I actually carry. Costs me less than 3 dollars a box of 50 for ammo.
I do shoot my Rossi DA at the range now and again and can control it even though it's heavy. I figure if I can hit with THAT trigger, the little 85UL or any of my DAs is buddah.
