I come across a Taurus PT 92 stainless steele for 350.00. I'm sure I can get it for a little less. New and beautiful. 9mm.
What kind of deal is this? A good one or bad one? Thanks
Whitey

They're solid guns; some like them better than the Beretta they are patterned on. (In fact, they are made in the same factory that Beretta used to build guns for the Brazilian government). Some people think that the Taurus version is better - many like the safety being located on the frame.

That pistol Lists for $544 on the Taurus site so I would say $350 is a very good price. If you want a good Beretta Clone without the Beretta price, buy it.

My wife just sold hers for $350 to a friend of mine. She just wasn't very accurate with it. My friend loves it and he shoots just fine with it.

I had a PT 92 and I was more accurate with it than my friends beretta 92.I think I sold it for around $350 if my memory serves me right.

God help U if U ever need it serviced. I have read SO many threads on Taurus lately and the horrible customer service (on several gun forums). Never would I buy another Taurus again.

i would say go for it, i prefer the taurus over the beretta and i have owned a berreta 92 before. then you should stock up on high cap mags. sportsmansguide had a good deal on berreta 92 factory mags not to long ago and then the went up about $10, but still they were a good price. but my dad got a whole bunch for his berreta storm. they are factory berreta mags.

I am going to say pass. The gun itself is a great gun. I like them so well I have two of them! However, my absolute max is $300.00 on these guns, and I didn't pay that for either of mine and realistically probably wouldn't even pay that much. One was in good shape but very holster worn, and I picked that one up for $165.00 and the other was a stainless model that I picked up for $250.00. It could be that for one reason or another my area just has more of these pistols than does yours, but in any case I think you can find a better price.

Of course, I just re-read your post to make sure I had my facts straight, and I see you said "new", where I thought you said "used". For a new gun, thats about right, hahaha......
