I received a Taurus 450 today that I had purchased on-line, as I have a client that has been looking for one (actually, he wants MINE, but I won't give it up!)

Anyway, it comes in, looks GREAT, but the cylinder won't lock up.

Spoke to the seller (another FFL), and we agreed I'd send it to Taurus to have them fix it under their "lifetime warranty". It will be shipping out tomorrow.

I'll report back to you all as to how they do.

I'm an avid Taurus purchaser an haven't been let down yet, also am happy to say I've never had a single problem and always had good experiences

I heard some horror stories of Taurus taking forever with repairs but they were insanely fast when I sent in my .357 magnum for a replacement ejector rod. I sent it 2-day on Wednesday and even with Thursday being a holiday I had my gun back early Monday with new original box and completely fixed.

I got a .357mag revolver over the net that when it got to me had A bent extractor rod brand new out of the box and the cylinder wouldn't even spin freely. It took 2.5 months to get it back and they were rude whenever I'd call to check the status of the repair. I wouldn't send the factory box either because when I got mine back they replaced the factory box with a plain white one that said "Repaired" on it or something like that. I was so disgusted that I sold the gun the day after I got it back without ever shooting it. They also refused to just replace the gun even though it was brand new out of the box. I really hope your experience with Taurus is better than mine was.

Well, it's been 8 business days since I sent in the 450, and I got an email from Taurus today saying it's on it's way back via FedEx.

That seems like a fast enough turn around to me.

Now, lets see if they fixed it!

I ordered a set of rubber replacement grips for a .357 mag snubby.
After 5 phone calls and a 18 month wait they finally arrived but they sent the wrong grips. Taurus has one CS rep in particular (a female) that's an out-and-out liar.

Well, my experience is .... arrived today, well packed in a new box. Functions perfectly.

Your mileage may vary.
