Not an C.A.I. import, or an import of any kind. This is a fairly recent Model 82, circa 2002, that I picked up off of gunbroker. The buy it now price was $195. This is my 2nd Model 82, but I sold the other which was a C.A.I. import.

This newer model 82 is actually a Model 82B4, which is +P rated, and has the full lifetime warranty from Taurus. Here are some images:

As it looked when I picked it up from FFL...

Today, wally-world finally got in some 38 Special ammo. It was 158gr lead round nose... Hopefully I will be able to shoot the thing this week.

I like that one.

Cool beans.

The 82 is a great revolver regardless of how old it is.

I've got a stainless version.

Looks to be in decent enough shape and you got it for a good price. Awaiting a range report.

Got two fantastic Taurus M66s (adjustable sight .357 magnum medium frame), a 4" nickel and a 3" bliued. I'd get an 82, but I have a good 3" Rossi 68 and an early 60s Smith and Wesson M10 in great shape. If I found one for a great price like I did my 2 66s, though, I wouldn't hesitate to add it to the collection.

Good find. Waiting on a range report. :D

Thats one of the best deals around. Any reliable defensive weapon under $200 is a great deal nowadays.

Not a bad find at all. The ones I've seen haven't had the full underlug shroud. They've typically run around two bills at places like Gander Mountain, but I haven't seen one in a while (admittedly, I haven't been to GM in several month, either.)

I have a M66 from 1987, and it's been quite reliable, only requiring a Loc-Tite fix on a loosening ejector-rod sleeve.

Looks like you got a good one. My 83 was a mess. The barrel was so bad, I had to pound the lead out of it with a brass screwdriver. That was after only six shots. It spit too. Looked really good, inside and out, and had very nice nickel plating. I soon bought my first Dan Wesson 15-2 and sold the 83. Taurus looked at it twice and sent it back, saying they saw no problem with the barrel. It's nice that Taurus gave jobs to the blind :D

Wow, now that is a nice gun. I've always liked the Taurus revolver line, although Rossi revolvers are cheaper, just as nice, and are still backed by Braztech's lifetime warranty.
