Doublestack vs. single. That's all. The 745 is a lot narrower, which some people prefer for CCW

Actually that isn't all, the 145 is SA/DA and the 745 is DAO

For those who don't like Taurus, I say more power to em'! They help keep the prices down for those of us who do like them and know better then to hold long past issues against the company

There are (currently) 3 in the family (and more to come), two revolvers and 1 auto, with Zero problems between them.

pt 145pro

I just bought my PT145 Pro Sunday the 16th and went strait to the range and the first target made me a rate this gun in a positive mark and a good buy, I loaded the two 10rd mags with fmj winchchester target rounds and the first shot at 25ft was a 4 rating but that was my sight adjust round and the rest followed with a 2" gap all in black and the only compalint was when I got home from the indoor range and loaded my 45auto +P 230gr xtp rounds they do not feed right as the rounds are to tapered to slide up the ramp into the chamber and this could be caused from only firing 50 rounds through the gun and I also state that a personal defense gun should have a minimum of 300rds before you place your life on it....
