I called Taurus today to order some Stellar clips for the wife's new toy, a 905. While conversing with the sales rep, I asked about what it would take to return my Taurus PT 24/7 Pro 9mm as it just won't run. It worked fine for a short time after I bought it (used for $250) and then it went rapidly downhill. Issues like failure to fire, light primer strikes. Failure to feed, especially the last 2 rounds in the magazine. Failure to hold the slide open, pull the slide back with an empty mag and the slide catch does not move at all. I think the previous owner stretched the springs out so the gun would function and the springs just went back to how they were. Anyway, the rep asked for the serial number and then informed me that it was part of a large recall. She gave me the website: tauruscartersettlement.com and she wouldn't say anything else about it. It appears that the following guns are apart of it,
MODEL NUMBER Number Distributed
PT-111 Millennium 286,190
PT-132 Millennium 4,137
PT-138 Millennium 20,520
PT-140 Millennium 159,095
PT-145 Millennium 178,622
PT-745 Millennium 21,365
PT-609 21,037
PT-640 5,378
PT-24/7 259,452
TOTAL 955,190
It looks like the filing deadline is February 6, 2018.
I have a PT 24/7 Pro DS in 40 and that runs beautifully, it never misses a beat. The only time I ever had an issue was with some hand loads that I had loaded too light and the gun wouldn't function properly. I had really hoped that the 9mm would have been the same way.

Yeah man this is been going on for the last 2 years. Sorry to hear that you were affected but I'm sure they have a replacement for you. In the case of the pt145 there is no replacement because they discontinued the model and only offered me half of what I paid for it.

Send it in and see what happens. Im sure they will get you running again.

I have had good luck with Taurus, but I have stuck with their revolvers and Beretta clones.
