Found a used Taurus 945 in my local gun shop. Nice gun but opinion on cc? I have a millennium pt111. Nice gun and so far no problems other then a occasional stove pipe. Winchester white box ammo. Bigger gun for cc but want to move up to a .45. Anyone who owns one would like to here opinion. BTW, Taurus guns are a hit and miss for me. Had a 24/7 .45 . Shot 50 reds thru it. Didn't like the trigger.

I have a PT911 which is the same gun in 9mm

I carry it in a Don Hume 721OT holster fir a Sig 2022 and I fits perfect. (Link below)

I do like the front sight, it has a much bigger dot than the rear sight so picking it up is no problem. The grip is just the right size for all my fingers.

The only thing is I wish the trigger reach was a little longer. Also, I feel they could have taken some weight off the slide, it feels heavy and sluggish. But since you are looking at the 45, it should be less of an issue.

Overall I like the gun because it is a medium size with 15 rounds of 9mm. The accuracy is good as well.

I have a PT-145 Mil Pro and I love it. It is very accurate and it has never had a single problem of any kind. I carried it concealed for a long time using an IWB holster. The only problem I had was keeping my pants from falling down. I actually started wearing suspenders to keep my pants up. But I don't care much for belts because of a surgery issue I've had a long time. I carry a .40 i a shoulder rig now but I only switched because the .40 holds a lot more rounds. I still carry the Taurus sometimes.

I have the PT745 and have had zero problems with it. It's much thinner than the PT145. It would be easy to CC , but it's my car gun that fits nicely in a closed compartment where center console & dash meet. No other .45's will fit there including the ultra compact 3" 1911's. The Henni straight 8 sights took a little getting used to.

The 745 can't be "much" thinner friend. The PT-145 is 1.25" thick. The 745 is 1.125". That's 1/8th inch difference. Considering the difference in capacity (4 more in the 145) I think it's a no brainer but we all have our preferences.

Sorry, I wasn't sure of the exact spec measurements. The grip just looked fatter being a double stack vs single. Four more rounds will also increase the weight some for CCW too. I figure if 6 or 7 45acp isn't enough I'm SOL anyway.

I carry a .40 now because it holds 16+1. I figure I can fire 5 or 6 rounds quick and hope to hit pay dirt or at least scare the dog water out of someone. But the PT-145 isn't exactly a heavy gun either. Yeah the rounds weigh something but the gun only weighs 22 oz.. The 745 weighs 21 oz..
