My ex-employer gave me a taurus tracker,2" barrle,in 45 acp,as a going away/christmas present.(Cool guy ,ain't he..) Can anyone tell me,does this model require "moon clips" as i have heard them called(is that the proper name?)? It will not extract the rounds as is. Can i fire it with out them? The manual is the same as several other Taurus 's i own,and does not say, that i can find.
Can anyone recommend loads for this ,i reload.
Any input will be appreciated.
Matt

If your revolver is correctly chambered (as I would expect it to be) you can fire it, but not extract or eject the fired cases. The purpose of the clip is to give the extractor star something to push on so that the cartridges/cases can be extracted. The Taurus revolver uses "full-moon" clips (so called because of their shape) that are exclusively made and sold by Taurus. Others won't work. You can get additional information and purchase clips from Taurus by going to : www.taurususa.com
