I just bought a Taurus Tracker .44MAG (stainless, 4" ported barrel). I have other revolvers that I use for different purposes, but this one is strictly going to be a range toy. While I am waiting for it to arrive, I have been browsing the web looking for information on trigger-jobs. I have had all of my semi-auto triggers reworked, but I've never touched any of the triggers in my wheel-guns and I figured it was about time.
Everyone seems to be hot on the Wolf spring kits for revolvers, but my questions are...
What size frame is the Tracker? Wolf offers "Large Frame" and "Small Frame" kits, but the Tracker isn't listed specifically. I would assume that it is considered large frame, but that is by my definition not Wolf's (necessarily).
I also notice that Wolf includes 5 springs in their kit, 3 reduced power hammer springs (10#, 11# and 12# - Stock is 14#) and two reduced power trigger return springs (10# and 11# - Stock is 15#). I know there is going to be some trial and error testing needed, but does anyone have a recommendation on a good combination to start?
