Received my holosun mgd so I had to try it out. Was not warm so didn't try it out long. Came with 2 13 round mags and was 349 before gov at lgs.
Ran a patch or 2 through and put a few drops of Lucas extreme oil on rails and in trigger area. High dollar for an ounce but works well and convenient.
Shot 26 thunderbolt (to test for leading and none ), 75 2012 dated blazers and 50 new cci sv with zero, yes zero malfunctions. Noticable difference between cci and blazers but all good. Couple mags of each at fast rate at plates for fun. I sort of dialed in mgd with wrists on bag but was too chilly for decent accuracy tests. Shot at 14 yards and could hit my 8" and 12" plates at 25 and 50. Ejection was good and consistent, tried to show pic in snow.
Not sure on mgd yet. The circle with dot kind of covers complete plates up. I didn't try just the dot cause I couldn't remember how to switch it. Shake awake is cool and seems like a durable and size appropriate dot.
Thoroughly impressed. The compact isn't much smaller than the regular tx but seems way lighter and fits well with the same excellent trigger. It may very well be the most fun plinker that I have and if I want to shoot 50 at plates would be the first rimfire I would grab. Mags are easy to load and best way I found is loading while just pushing down on mag springs (buttons or knubs) just enough to load a round. I feel this allows the rounds not to bind in mag. Wish someone would sell something that made his easier as the knubs are small and recessed a bit. I have a little plastic thing i bought for ruger mark mags and something similiar id buy. The 16 and aftermarket 21 tx mags work but stick out a bit.
Best thing unlike mosquito and other compact 22's I have owned it just doesn't malfunction and i don't have to install or change springs and hold mouth right depending on ammo (sorry for rant) to get it to work somewhat reliably.
Gonna keep on shooting with no maintenance to review more. Will use all blazers.
