For those of you that don't know, Mec-Gar recently introduced their "OPTIMUM" line of "Anti-Friction Coating" 18rd & 20rd high cap mags for the Taurus PT92.

I bought the 18rd OPTIMUM magazine a few months back and have been extremely satisfied with it. With that said, I decided to order the 20rd optimum mag from www.wideners.com and just received it a few days ago.

Here's some comparison pics of the Mec-Gar OPTIMUM 18 & 20rd mags;

^Comparison of Mec-Gar 18/20rd mag assembly. The 20rd mag is actually a 18rd optimum mag with a +2 baseplate. So both are completely interchangeable.

cleetus03, what's up with your rear sight. It looks like the cross pin is missing from the front of the sight. The front part should be almost flush with the top of the slide. Nice gun by the way. I have one just like it. :) Mark

I have two of the 20 round ones and prefer them to the factory mags. And at a little over $20 each the price can't be beat

Great report, Cleetus!

I'm a fan of flush fit mags, so those 18 round mags do look appealing.
