Tax refund and guns - what are you buying?

I'm dollar cost averaging more ammunition. ;)

Actually I try to break even or owe the Feds (staying below penalties and interest) but that is kind of tough for me since a significant part of my income is derived from quarterly bonuses when successful. If they owe me money, they have benefited from the interest income I should have been realizing. But that is ok, because that means I had a good year. I'm just a lowly peddler.

Off the soap box.

Based on the money I earned in 2010, I was able to set enough aside to purchase my first EBR. A BCM Midlength 14.5 inch.

I'll be purchasing a Browning BAR LW Stalker in 308 along with a Burris Euro Diamond 1.5-6x40. Should be the ultimate northern MN deer gun.

I'll either owe or break even...If I do get anything back it wont be much, if I do then I'll use it to pay off some bills.

In college, no work = no refund.

But yeah if I did get one, a Garand would be on my list. Maybe a Bazillion brass 223.
Or an M39. ooooh mosin carbine... fireballs....

Best I can hope for this year is to break even, at least that is the plan. Fingers crossed. If I do get a refund this year its going to pay off my truck. Then I will be 100% debt free, which gets me so excited I can't stand it.

well lets see i am getting my hi cap springer that i have done a melt job on coated flat black and finishing three ar uppers 1 24" 5.56 heavy varmit 16" 5.45x39 and not sure on the last one maybe a standard 20" A2 service rifle then all will be right in the universe......for a couple days anyway

Typically, we get back about $3,000 in refund. So, I may set aside a very small portion to support my shooting hobby, but by far, most will be going to pay off the last remaining debt we have on a credit card with whatever is left going to a used car fund for our teenage kids. We're mostly close to completely debt free and once I get there I never want to go back!

For the past 3 years I had two jobs, so I always had to pay. This year I got laid off from my full time job, so hopefully I will get some money back *cross fingers*.

I was looking into buying a nice auto loading handgun in 40S&W before I got laid off (FNP or SIG P229). When I got laid off, my dad got me into groundhog hunting so I went out and spent $1400 on a groundhog rifle and scope (CZ 550 .22-250). I have been having so much fun with it and I before buying the CZ I had wanted a Remington 700 VLS for so long, I am thinking of getting one in .204 Ruger. Although I ought to buy that pistol first.

Savage 10fp, Supersniper 10X, Harris bipod.......but I probably won't get anything back.

I have been paying rather than getting a refund ever since I got out of the military. If you are one of many who get back more than you paid in then...please...enjoy spending my money... :banghead:

Wife worked 10 hrs per week last year--they wanted her full time so she quit.
Anything we get back goes to grandkids college fund. I picked up another gun last week.
I didn't get a dirty look---but--not a great on either.
We are sending one grandkid to college---don't leave too much for the reloading room.
It's a ***** to get old--what can I tell you.----:banghead::banghead:

Lmao - that was hilarious. Oh and for all of you I may have offended with my CAPS, sorry. I was sending that from my work computer and we are required to use all caps. Guess I didn't notice. Anyways, I am actually excited casue the ol ball and chain gave me permission to buy two service grades! yay! Anyone else getting anything interesting (for those of you getting money back).

Do you work at Classic Arms? :neener:
