Hi. I recently came into possession of a TC vernier tang sight. It's recommended to use a TC 7210 globe front sight with it. I can't find a TC front sight but have options with a Lyman or a Lee Shaver sight. I'm looking to find out what the height of the TC 7210 is. I believe its measured from the top of the dovetail to the center of the globe tube or where the cross hairs would be. I've seen pics online and it looks pretty high. .450" to .800" maybe.
I'm putting a rifle together from parts to try some longer distance target shooting with different projectiles. Thanks for looking.

I don't think the tang sight cares what front sight you use, as long as you're comfortable with it and it works. I have a flip up blade/ bead post on my rolling block that is used with a vernier rear sight, bought both pieces separately, set up works great for what I want to do.

I'm not concerned about what brand of sight I'm putting on it. I'm concerned about the height of the front sight. The Lyman and the Lee Shaver front sights come in a few different heights. If I knew the height of the TC sight, I'd match it up with a similar one. I thought I could find that spec online but no luck.

I’m using the 17 aml lyman sight with shaver inserts. I believe the Lyman is .500 tall at the center of the globe tunnel.

So, here’s the trick for finding front sight height.

Set the tang sight at its lowest level.

Put a zip tie on the front of the barrel with the running end free and clipped off leaving a bit more than 1” but centered like a bead or blade sight.

Shoot at 50 yards using the zip tie running end tip as the front sight.

Keep clipping small pieces from the zip tie until you are on target. Measure from top of barrel to top of zip tie. That is your middle of the sight measurement for your globe sight. Let’s say the measurement is .432”. You want the slightly taller .500 “ globe sight rather than the .400” sight, for example.

That's great information. I don't have the barrel for this gun yet but I can put my .45 Hawken barrel in the stock and do the measurements. I'm planning on it being a .50 cal. Thank you.
