Was that on CNN? I think that's the one I saw. I liked Ted's stuff; had to turn the TV off after about 10 seconds of the Brady guy, though. Seriously, couldn't take it.:barf:

Apparently these two have been making the rounds on TV as well last night. However, this segment has Ted talking and being interviewed for seventeen minutes straight... (without the Brady guy) it is a little more insightful than the minute and a half of talking points they give on TV.

This is a Flash based stream so you can jump right up to the second hour of the show where Ted starts.

I was pretty impressed with the show. Miller says something needs to be done, but admitted he needs some further education on the matter.

All of the callers, at least up to Ted's part of the show, were pro-gun and, fortunately, very well spoken. They weren't nut-jobs and didn't make us look like a bunch of dumb rednecks. I was particularly happy the student from FSU was able to say on the air that he wanted a gun to protect himself since it was obvious no one esle was going to do it.

Ted reinforced that the people doing this are evil and that good, combined with the proper machinery, can end evil. He also did a good job, I thought, of making the point that the people his family is grieving for - VT, the Amish school, the NYC Pizza restaraunt - all of these shootings were in gun free zones which guarantee the slaughter of large numbers of people. He didn't come off as an extremist like he sometimes does (I think he has a difficult time controlling himself when antis try to rile him).

For the most part, it was a good show. Helmke made me want to :barf: also.

Can't help but like Ted. The dude knows his stuff. Anti's are just...pathetic.

Helmke gets me mad, not because of what he stands for--but because of his UTTER lack of knowledge or use of correct terminology regarding firearms.
You would think that to be effective at the debate he would at least know the jargon. He comes off like an un-knowing idiot trying to bluff. Phrases like 'high-velocity clip' are rattled off and even people who know nothing about guns probably see through his BS. Basic, basic stuff they would have straight in even the worst-written soap opera or detective drama.

I like the saying 'The Devil knows the bible like the back of his hand'. Helmke is just piss-poor to listen to.

I missed it, but I'm listening..

To John Lott debate Jim Keppler (sp) on Laura Ingram. If Jim used any more uhh's or ahhh's he wouldn't have made any noise at all. Lott was kinda mellow but he's an academic and is passionate in another way. Laura had the last word with the old chestnut "When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns."
At least the media is talking about the second am!! And I see the USSC has managed to get it right regarding partial birth abortions, perhaps, just maybe this is the court to put collective rights philosophy to death?
