Teflon, Bronze,Ball Bearings or Nothing?

What is you preferred bearing style for a folding knife?

Personally I lean towards bronze washers or in the case of the Buck 110 nothing at all.

Phosphor bronze washers on a bushing pivot, or at least a stepped pivot. After that, raised sections of the molded plastic handle which serve as integral washers.

Doesnt matter to me, they all work nice if done right. I'd rather keep bearings out of dirty environments, but man they can make a city edc fly open.

Nylon should be included on the list as well.

Nylon. Much easier to replace should you need to, and more resistant to corrosion than metal.

I carried a Gerber Magnum, Sportsman and a Buck 110 for many years.

They were always smooth. I suppose the brass frames on the steel tang were the bushings.
