A buddy has a nickle plated Rossi .38 Spl. 5 shot with 3" brl. and original wooden grip imported by Interarms. I've looked at many online pitcures of Rossi revolvers and as far as I can tell this one is an older model 33.
I was able to take just a quick look and didn't check cyl. alignment, ect. but it looked to be in near new condition.
He wanted $200 for the gun, gun rug, 5 boxes of old Remington standard FMJ .38, 1 box of old Super Vel. Police .38 Special and 1 box of old yellow box SuperX .38 Spl.
The Super Vel Police ammo had a semi-jacketed soft hollow point bullet. I've never heard of Super Vel Police.
Any information about the above Rossi revolver or older Rossi revos would be appreciated by both me and the Rossi owner.
Thanks Much

I sold a M88 stainless 2" a while back for 150, but it didn't have any ammo or anything. Sounds like an okay deal, but I'm thinking it may be a M68???? I have a blued one, bought back in about 82. It's a danged straight shootin' gun, times perfectly, very tight lockup. It has the 3" barrel. I like it. It'll group a lot better off the sand bags at 25 yards because of the added sight radius. I can keep wadcutters under 2" at that range and heavier SD loads not much bigger. Its DA is a little heavy, but smooth and it's SA is quite crisp and light. It would make an excellent home defense or IWB CCW revolver. I've fired a few +Ps in it, but it's not +P rated. I feed it standard pressure stuff at the range, but would carry +P if I carried it.

Supervel ammo was the first of the light bullet HP rounds produced by a "Factory" Check with an ammo collector, it may have value.

Who doesn't collect ammo. :D
