I just purchased a 452 LUX about a month ago. Installed a Brooks trigger kit Wednesday evening. Be careful! I installed the lightest spring. A couple minutes later a squirrel farted in a nearby tree and the sear engaged! I like a light trigger but that was insane. Literally, the instant your finger would feel metal, the sear would engage. I changed out to a heavier spring and it's a thing of beauty.
Accurate, Reliable and easy to shoot. That is a summary of my 452 varmint.
Doing it over again, I would buy the 453 because it has a better trigger and more adjustments then my 452. My boss went with the 453 and it was a better choice. The base 452's are a work in progress. You need to really get lucky to get a good trigger otherwise you are into a brooks kit (my route) or a new trigger like the rifle basix ones.
I bought the gun to shoot, not to work on and this is my one beef. It is good the way it is but I would have gladly paid another $200 to get it from the factory with a good crisp trigger pull and properly bedded or blocked in.
my friend has anschutz 22 bolts, & he bought a cz 22 bolt,he just had to have one because of the quality , solid action & workmanship,he really didnt need one but look,he got one anyway.that says alot...
CZ452 Sillouette, CONSISTANTLY puts 10 shots into one ragged hole at 25; about a half inch at 50 and IF I can do it (with the Burris Mini 4x20) will shoot around an inch at 100. Well made, and ACCURATE.
I would recommend one to ANYONE without hesitation.
