Tell me about the Remington M34.

Just pulled one out of my Mom's basement. Pretty good shape, has been drilled and tapped for a scope mount on the left side of the receiver. I must add, this rifle has a lot of personal significance to me. It's the one my Dad taught me to shoot with. I've never seen it with a scope. Are mounts available? Google wasn't much help except to tell me it was made in the thirties. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you are talking about the single shot 22 with the full size stock and the looong barrel, right? I picked one up a year ago that was beat up, cleaned it up a little, refinished the stock. Its pretty accurate with those iron sights! it's got a great trigger, and a very snappy ejector. since 22 got so expensive, its been my go to rimfire, over the nylon or the model 24.
