ETA- It will be going on a 16" AR-15
I just ordered one, because I have never really used optics, it got two very positive reviews, including one from someone using on a 7.62x39, so I'm hoping it won't recoil itself loose, I like the idea of having a low-power magnifying scope, and it will be very tacticool. Plus I got paid today and I want something like this.

First, despite the fact that it is not an Eotech or an Aimpoint, is this a good item? Has anyone else here used one, or had a friend with one? What on Earth is a rheostat? Have I gone horribly wrong? Was I right, have I bought a good all-around scope, high-quality to dollar ratio?

Here is the information.

I imagine it should work just fine. If you wante dto be truly tacticool you would have sold your car and bought an ACOG, but you probably have more important things to spend money on, and your main goal isn't to build a cool looking EBR, take pictures of it, and post them on the internet... ;)

I'll have you know we have all the Adobe products at work. I can have any optics or accessories I please on my rifle thank you very much! :neener:

Ya those horrible green and red letters on the side of it may not survive long, despite the fact that I like keeping things looking like they did when new. They look like they belong on a lasertag scope.

Yep I think I'll do fine. 2x with a 2.5 MOA dot is best for what? General purpose fun I hope. I hope to make objects bounce around at whatever range I set them at, prolly 80-200 yards at the most, I don't want to embarass myself too much but I also want to work on my skillz. And would it be alright for recreationally hunting coyotes? I doubt I'll be able to catch one, but it will be fun wandering around in the woods lookin' for them.

What do you do with a coyote or other varmint once you have killed it? bury it or is there some special procedure that should be taken?

Awesome, I'm really thrilled to know that others on this forum have had good experiences with this scope, it will be my first optic, and I like the light magnification and red dot!
