Hey guys, I'm really interested in Glock conversions and whats involved. I'm particularly interested in .45-10mm conversions as well as what can be converted to 9mm for cheaper practice. I'm most interested in the G-30 for anyone who actually does this conversion any info would be great as well as what you think of the outcome. Thanks in advance folks.

Any .40 SW Glock can be converted to 9mm and .357 sig.

I believe the .45 ACP Glock can be converted to 10mm, but I would advise getting a Model 20 Glock if you want to shoot real 10mm. You can convert the M21 to 45 Super with a switch to a Jarvis .45 barrel (call Dan at LoneWolf Distributors for details).

The 10mm Glocks (M20 and M29) can be converted to .40 SW, .357 sig, and 9x25 Dillon.

As far as doing something with your M30, I would recommend shooting 45 ACP out of it, and if you want a 10mm, buy a M20 or M29.

I personally use/recommend converting .40 Glocks to 9mm. I had a 6" longslide 10mm/45 super for a while but sold it and now shoot a M35 exclusively.

Hope this helps.

Thanx for your help. But why is it that you don't recomend the G30 be converted to 10mm? And does anyone know if there are any .22 conversion kits for Glocks?

The Model 20 glock was designed before the Model 21. The M 20 was designed for the pressures and recoil of the 10mm. The same thing with the 29 and 30. The chamber pressure of a 10mm is 37,500 for full power stuff and maybe half that in ACP.

I say that for no better reason that there is less metal between you and the little explosion. The engineers at Glock decided on the thickness on the metal and based on the inertia and the strength to resist the 10mm pressures. If you did put a conversion barrel into the 30 you'll will excellerate the wear on components.

Ask yourself which caliber you really want to shoot, and buy accordingly. The .40 SW family of Glocks lend themselves a bit better to converting (to 9mm and .357 sig) than do the 20 and 21. Sorry to rain on your parade. Do some more research, call Lone Wolf Distributors, Call jarvis and kkm, and get some other opinions.

Advantage Arms probably makes on of the better 22 conversions (for all models of Glocks) It is my understanding that they are all out and 5 months behind.

The truth is I want the 10mm but ammo is pretty pricey. But with the .22 conversion it just might work. Thanx for all the info.

True, it can be pricey. If you don't shoot a lot, reloading is probably not a good option. In my case, I can reload 10mm for anywhere from $6 to $10 per 50. A lot of fun can be had with a .22 conversion on any gun, so that would be wise to get.

If you did get the Model 29, you could put a .40 SW conversion barrel in it, and .40 SW from walmart is about $20 per hundred. Much cheaper than full power 10mm, but would provide you with valuable practice.

It's up to you...good luck!

I'm planning on getting a 9mm/.357SIG conversion barrel for my Glock 35 (.40S&W)

This is what Lone Wolf recommended for the 9mm conversion: Item
LWD-359N $89.95. Good price...I hope it's in stock.

Don't forget to get the right magazines for the conversion also!

The .40 magazines are also compatible with .357SIG ammo.
