Texas handgun concealed carry questions

Here in Texas the law allows for unlicensed in-vehicle carry since 2007, and also for going to and from one's residence. However, what if I were visiting my friend's house? Would taking a concealed handgun from my car to his house be legal? Thanks.

It's private property.
So long as your weapon is welcome in his home, it's not a problem.
