Texas urges New Yorkers to move and bring their guns

News to me. Where do I find info on THAT? A quick search didn't show anything useful but I don't have time to check further at the moment. Last I heard it was in the works.

Stand corrected.. I was told some wrong information. Somebody on my local firearm forums told me that a new law passed allowing Texas to open carry, but I guess it must have been wrong.

Well, if New Yorkers want the freedom to open carry, Washington/Oregon/Idaho would be a better option than Texas. Seriously, how can a state that calls itself free not allow open carry? It sounds like Texas has its own regressive liberal policies to deal with. I highly doubt any New Yorker wanting to move there for loss of 2A rights would not support open carry.

Just for your information not everybody that lives in N.Y. State votes Democrat for one thing for another the state has 19 million people in it, there are 13 million of them in NYC alone which votes like you dislike, then there are then other minority 6 million people that vote like you. Question what chance does the 6 million have to change anything except by voting with their feet. What would you do?

If I could get a job down there and find a place to live with my stupid skillset I'd be down there in a heartbeat. Tired of being a southerner in Bloombergs court. Born and raised NY'er don't get me wrong but never had the same ideals as the majority of my neighborhood.

But with bills and the family home I'm responsible for.. Just sadly can't see it happening as much as I want it too.

Wow... I noticed I stopped getting facebook updates from one of my nieces. She is very active and I enjoyed the pictures of her children. I actively looked for her on FB and noticed I had the option to "add her" as a friend.

When I looked around her page she was posting about unfriending anyone who was pro-gun (And, as you can imagine I have adopted "liking" pro gun sites, and sharing links as part of my grass roots campaign)

Her and her friends were venomous about it.

They all live in TX. And are from back east. Keep 'em, we dont want them back here in Maine.

Chances are the Yankees who are moving to Texas to have more gun freedom don't have those screwy liberal ideas. Don't forget, upstate NY is quite a conservative place with a lot of gun owners. Downstate and NY City is another story.

Just remember if you move to Texas, you must adopt Texas' ways. We don't give a damn how you did it where you came from.

That is understood. All new arrivals to Texas should have to submit to a course in Texas culture and history.

Somehow I think the people moving because of the gun situation aren't the ones you need to worry about. Or are y'all convinced everything New York is just like Nuuuuuu Yerk Citaaay?

100% correct. All the people in NY state are not like the NY City gun haters. Upstate is full of conservative gun lovers who are disgusted with the liberals in Albany.
