BDS,
It's looking kind of sparse so I will put up

QTY 40
7mm (.284) 160 Gr. Boat Tail Bonded Soft Point NEW (purchased from RMR)
Brand unknown.
http://www.shop.rmrbullets.com/7mm-...Point-NEW-500-Ct-7mm-160-BoatT-SP-New-500.htm

I haven't had a chance to test them or work up loads yet. (just got them)
(For target practice only here in CA, can't use them for hunting in CA {lead free only :banghead: :cuss:}, but would be interested in hunting performance if the winner uses them for hunting)
Appear to be very nice, price was quite good. ($40/250 $70/500 $130/1000)

QTY 20
Hornady 7mm Interlock 154 gr 7mm bullets.

All one item. Let make the date 6/27 or close to that day whenever you are doing the drawing.

Thanks

No worries el indio.

Either participating members are content with their reloading lives or politely allowing other members a chance to bid for posted items. They could even be out shopping for Father's Day. ;):D

This "Thank You THR" PIF thread was started when blarby's fine PIF thread got abused by freeloaders with fast fingers at Walkalong's dismay (I am certain that it still happens).

My hope was that some of more "premium" PIF items get posted here so other THR members who are dues paying/PIF contributors get a fair chance at posted items and because they are not always at the computer ready to jump on posted items. ;)

I think this thread gives karma/fate a chance for us to "give/pay back" to those members who help out other members with their knowledge and generosity on a regular basis.

If you think about it, Walkalong is the biggest "Pay it forward" seeder/contributor as he tirelessly watches over H&R category 24/7 without pay or relief on voluntary basis (he's the only moderator assigned to this massive and active category) and has been very helpful when I have PMed questions and he has sent PIF reloading components without accepting anything in return - http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=8883499#post8883499

If you are charity supporting type, consider this thread the "THR reloading charity" for the "working/contributing members" and donate generously. The "Pay it forward" notion does indeed work and has benefited me over the past several decades - http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=8883415#post8883415

The two PIF threads in H&R category is a testament to the generosity of reloaders as the threads remained active continuously since inception. There are other THR PIF threads but I could only find this one which is still active - Handguns: Holsters and Accessories - http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=769619

A big "Thank You" to all those who contributed PIF seed items and to those who have propagated PIF notion!

Not to sidetrack, but has this thread somehow pulled us away from the original pay it forward thread? It seems that the other thread is waining, and this one suddenly has less interest as well. Perhaps hot weather and rain keeping folks from the range? Anybody know what's up?

I believe according to "Pay it forward" notion, when carried out with proper intent and gratitude, all works out in the end.

With any PIF thread, potential for abuse to be used as a "trading thread" always exists and the members with the fastest keyboard fingers to claim the posted items may not be the "ideal" way.

How can we be sure?

We can't and ultimately we must "trust" fate to propagate seeders/donors with proper recipients.

The whole notion of "pay it forward" is for the recipient of a good deed in time of need "pays forward" another good deed to a deserving recipient in need WHEN he/she is able to later on. It's not an obligation but passing forward of a gift. Those members who qualify for the thread can readily bid for the items as the posted items were "donated" as an expression of "Thanks" for THR.

That's why I started this second thread, in the hopes that those members who have shared knowledge/experience, support THR financially, contribute to blarby's PIF thread and support vendors offering THR 5% discount get a "fair chance" at posted items. And members reserve more "premium" items for this thread which will have longer posting time for other members a chance to look what's posted and see if they are interested.

In the end, I think karma will catch up to those who abuse PIF threads and I will continue to PIF on THR/work/life when I see need expressed that I can accommodate.

Words of wisdom from bds
This thread and the whole THR community has really helped me a bunch in the past few months as I have began my journey in reloading.

I'm offering up a vintage lee loader for 243 win I'm sure someone can put it to use. Pick an end date.

49willys
I have the bullets all boxed up, went ahead an bagged 50 of the RMR and 30 of the Hornady for you. (couple extras so you can do workups)
Since you said you loaded 9mm I threw in a sample of 6 differnt 9mm bullets I have.

I have load data for the 9mm bullets with quite a few different powders if you interested PM me.

The only powder I loaded the 154 7mms with was H4831. I checked my notes and found that 64.7gr worked best for me with that bullet. (listed max is 66 start is 59 so work up to that charge Lyman data)

I have not had a chance to load the 160s so I'll let you do the testing for me and find what works for you. :)

Hope they all work well for you.

As a side note the Priva Partizan 7mm Rem Mag ammo isn't bad and the price is really good. You can buy it almost as cheap as some places want for once fired 7mm brass (per round).
