This is a video of George H. Russell, the founder of The Patriot Network. He talk about the reason why we (texans primarily) shouldn't have to conceal handguns. It is very no political and very NOT SAFE FOR WORK.

The few things I dont like is that he says BB/Pellet guns are not as dangerous as the real deal, which i disagree with. Theres a reason why in some places, you cant shoot those of in city limits.

He also divides and conquers. Even hinting that we need a S&W 500 over a .32 plays into the "sporting class" idea that anti-gunners love to bring up. All guns are the same. So I should be able to own one the same way as another.

Remeber NOT SAFE FOR WORK....

Mixed Feelings

In general I agree with his sentiment.

I wince at his articulation.

Given the condensed time requirement of video messages, he couldn't treat the subject as broadly as it deserves, but I don't think his presentation gets much traction.

Which is too bad, really.

I'd really like to see a video clip that makes an eloquent case for the idea that it should simply be assumed that everyone is carrying. Such a video could make that point that we'd stop short of requiring everyone to carry, but that the default assumption should always be that the person in front of you is armed, whether he seems to be or not.

Anyway.

I appreciate the message.

I wish it were better presented.

I guess even the crackheads are bigger in Texas:D

I personally would like the choice to conceal or open carry, in MD i can't do either. There is a time and a place for both open and concealed carry, and the right to keep and bear arms should guarantee us the option.

The uncontrollable laughter started less than 30 seconds into the video. This guy is too funny.

You really think the danger is equivalent? Okay, I'll give you a choice: I can shoot you with my air pistol, or my 1911.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I'm not saying that airguns are without risk, but they are not as dangerous.

Theres a reason why in some places, you cant shoot those of in city limits.

Yes, there is: in those places, the hoplophobes rule the legislature.

Flyboy- My mistake. The brain wasn't working when I reread it. They are not as dangerous. There is a difference. But it bugs me when someone says they are anything close to toys. Because for me they are not.

At 2:30, he shoves the revolver down his pants and observes, "now I've got me a package goin'. The women are gonna go wild!"

Good lord. He looks and acts like a guy who'd be wearing a sign saying, "the End is near! Repent!" on a streetcorner somewhere.

ROTFL!!! I couldn't even get through the whole thing...I had to stop at the part where he's trying to conceal the .500, but then breaks to show its safe and give a short safety speech.

All I can say is "big" and "crackhead" is an oxymoron.

No, it isn't. One of our local crackheads here, calls himself "Main Thing", is ~6'5", 265lbs. Fortunately, he got picked up by the cops a few days ago.

I stand corrected. I've dealt with tall crackheads, but never one weighing more than 140, 150...wet. What's in that water in NC!?!?!? :D

I thought the elephant and rhinosaurus crackheads where in the hoods of Africa not Texas.

Added video to my favorites folder :D

Big Calhoun, I had to stop at the same place. He is a Brady poster child. Next time, he needs to get three things - wardrobe, grooming, and a script.

Thats the problem w/ today's society, "normal" people don't get any clout. Just because you dress em up and teach em "guud" doesn't make the message any less. Its just we've become so jaded that if it isn't a dolled up TV personality/politician it can't possibly be relevant or pertinent.

Sadly I look at this guy and say while his subject matter was limited in scope, his delivery was lacking in many area's. Which just won't pass the message to many people, or worse, pass the wrong message.

and yah... was funny as ****.

heheh

J/Tharg!
