Me and the wife went to the range today for the first time in about 5-6 months. Pretty crowded when we got there so we had to wait a while.Indoor range about 20 mins. from the house. Took 4 pistols and a 1300 Defender Winchester 12 gauge that I have had a while but haven't shot yet. The range allows shotguns with slugs so I figured I try her out.
All the pistol shotting went well. Let another couple that was there try out some of the pistols. Just before we were ready to leave I pull the shotgun out and load her up. Now I haven't shot a 12 gauge in about 15 years or any shotgun for that matter. I now think that a light weight 12 gauge with slugs was probably not the best way to start shooting them again.
The right shoulder is only a little sore now and pretty red. Should be some rather interesting colors in the morning. Oh well, still had fun.
