My very first handgun was a Savage 380. I don't remember why, but I do remember that little gun. I've had a few others over the years and currently have an Walther PPK/s and a Kahr 380. My daughter is getting into CCW and liked the small size of the Kahr. I have some reloads from the 80s that were for the Walther and some factory that I shoot in the Kahr. She didn't care for the weight of the Walther.
I was finally able to get some dies so I could once again reload the 380. Going with 2.8 and 3.0 grains of Winchester 231. We took them both out again. I was pleased with the accuracy of both guns. I did come home with a couple of new bandaids from the Walther. We are going to explore our options in this caliber. Some problems to overcome during our search will be lack of inventory in our small town. Also living in California also limits what will be available. I'll report back as we go along.
